The Lost Paradise block party wasn’t just another event—it was an experience that captured everything I love about Cape Town’s vibrant nightlife.
The collaboration between Xone, Minimal, Club Paradise, and Paradise Lounge brought together an eclectic mix of sounds, from house music to hip-hop, and everything in between.
The industrial charm of Albertus Street, paired with colorful street art, provided the perfect backdrop for this incredible night.
Albertus Street: The Perfect Venue for an Epic Block Party
Albertus Street proved to be the perfect setting for this epic block party.
With its blend of industrial charm and vibrant street art, the street provided an authentic, urban backdrop that amplified the energy of the event.
The raw, edgy atmosphere of the area made it feel like the ideal spot for an underground music festival, yet it was easily accessible and central enough to draw a diverse crowd from all over Cape Town.
Club Paradise: Where the Night Hit Its Peak
As we made our way to the Club Paradise stage, we were greeted with an insane surprise— complimentary Don Julio cocktails!
It was the perfect way to kick off the night, and the drinks added a touch of luxury to the already incredible atmosphere.
The stage was a visual feast, with smoke machines working in perfect harmony with the music, creating a mesmerizing effect that drew everyone in.
The highlight of the night for me was definitely at Club Paradise, where two of my favourite DJs, TiMO ODV and Geometric Flux, delivered mind-blowing sets.
After being left enticed and hungry for more by their crazy supporting acts, TiMO ODV stepped up to the stage and it was if liquid gold itself was pouring out of the speakers and flooding the room with his deep, melodic and ‘bass face’ inducing dance music.
Then, as he had the energy ramped up, Geometric Flux took over, exploding into a psytrance frenzy that had the entire crowd on their feet, lost in the rhythm.
And last but definitely not least DJ Lightshow was handed the decks to bring it home. Talk about a stage presence!
His illuminated outfit paired with his space-warping, high BPM psytrance had everyone on an intergalactic journey that transcended time and space. I left that dance floor a happy raver.
The underlying and most unexpected highlight of my time at Lost Paradise was meeting Geometric Flux and being blessed with the chance to snap a picture.
To me this was more than just a night out—it was a night we will be talking about for a long time. And if you were there, you know exactly what I mean.
